Learning a language is more than just learning single words on their own.

If you want to sound more fluent, you can use idioms and phrases in your speaking or writing. But what's the difference?

Look at the following sentences. Are they phrases or idioms?

I'm not on the ball today.

Nice to meet you.

I'm feeling under the weather.
