Like 用法详解

Hi, could you clarify the difference between like + ing and like + the infinitive?

Maja

In today's Question and Answer of the Week, Callum and Li answer this tricky question about using the word 'like' with gerunds 动名词 and infinitives 动词不定式。

As they explain, there is occasionally a difference in meaning that accompanies the different grammar, and this allows us to make sense of the following sentence:

I like to do the laundry every week but I don't like doing it.

Listen to the programme to find out what it means!
