Saying No! 说不

In a shop, how do I politely reject the salesperson if I find the clothes I try on don't suit me?

Christine in Hong Kong

It's not easy trying to say no, especially when you are shopping. In this week's programme we help one listener who wants to know how to politely reject a sales person or shop assistant who's trying to get you to buy some clothes you don't like.

It's important not to be rude but to use words that politely suggest that you don't agree with someone's choice.

Start by saying something positive before you say something negative and always use please and thank you.

"Thanks but it's not my taste!"

Just remember you are the customer and you're not under any obligation to buy anything! Join Rob and Feifei as they visit the Qanda boutique and listen to the phrases they use.
