There are numerous peaks, trees, cliffs and valleys within the 154 sqm. scenic area. The Lotus Flower Peak at 1,864 m. above sea 1evel, the broad Bright Summit and the precipitous Heavenly Capital Peak are 1ocated in the center of the area with the rest 77 distinct peaks above 1, 000 m. scattering around. About 120 pieces of rocks on the mountain have interesting names. Mt. Huangshan pines are very special. Instead of taking roots in soil, they cling to the rock surface, showing the vigor of 1ife. There are over 30 pines which have names, including Greeting Guest Pine, Lying Dragon Pine, Exploring Sea Pine and Black Tiger Pine. Clouds on this mountain swirl around peaks and valleys, forming a" sea of clouds". Huangshan hot springs are crystal clear, good for drinking and taking bath. The mountain is the watershed of the two rivers of the Yangtze and the Qiantan. The springs and valleys provide torrent waters and high difference for waterfa1ls. Famous waterfalls on the mountain include Renzhi, Wanzhang and Jiulong. There are over 200 places of interest on the mountain, demonstrating rich cu1tural and historical deposits. Mt. When looking closely at them, one can' t help admiring the rich imagination of the people who have given them names. Huangshan rocks make the mountain a natural museum of scu1ptures.

Standing at the summit of a peak, one feels 1ike standing on an island in the sea. The "sea of clouds "on the mountain, according to its location, can be dividedsintosEast Sea, West Sea, North Sea, each with a unique aesthetic feature.

It is determined that temperature of the hot springs on Mt. Huangshan is usua1ly at 24C. The water is clear, good in quality, with no harmful elements, and belongs to fresh hot springs with rich heavy carbonate. Using the water to bath helps prevent skin, joint and nerve illnesses. The torrent water and high difference create many waterfal1s, of which Nine -- Dragon Waterfall is the most spectacular. The Renzhi Waterfall pours down from a huge cliff in the shape of Chinese character" ren" (meaning human being). The Wanzhang Spring rushes down from a cliff like a piece of white silk cloth.

Pines on this mountain cling to the rock surface instead of taking roots in soil. The ancient pines in fantastic shape rise highsintosthe sky, or hang upside down.
