In May, the five planets visible to the naked eye --- Jupiter, Saturn, Mars, Venus, and Mercury appeared tightly grouped in the western sky. The grouping, although not scientifically important, was a rare and beautiful thing to see. It did not threaten Earth by causing earthquakes or other disasters.
