My date picked me up to go to a movie. Just as we got to the theater, we were pulled over(开到路边) by the police. He had been swerving(突然转向) in and out of lanes(车道) so recklessly(卤莽地) that the policeman asked him to get out of the car for a Breathalyzer test. When the policeman realized we were both sober(镇静), he asked why our car had been swerving before he let we go. My date said he was so involved in our conversation, he was not paying attention to the road.
That conversation consisted of him talking about his job, his ex-girlfriend and his family without me saying anything.
Cut to after the movie. My date decided to take me the way home. He started talking about himself -- again not letting me get a word in. In the process, he failed to notice a small dog walking on the side of the road. After he hit the poor thing, I screamed to stop, but he just looked at me strangely and kept driving.
I wish I could say that was the end, but just as we neared my neighborhood, he ran over a cat. Can you believe it? And to top it off(从头碾过), when we finally got to my house, he had the nerve(勇气) to ask for another date. I answered as calmly as I could, "I just don't think that would be a good idea."
Brian小结:
1、He was pulled over by the policeman when he broke the red light so recklessly.
2、Jack surely knows who set him up , and he swore after coming out of the jail , he will take a revenge of that guy!
3、That conversation consisted of him talking about his job, his ex-girlfriend and his family without me saying anything.
4、He tried to look as sober as he could, but the police could immdiately tell he was lying!
5、I really think highly of him to come up with the nerve to ask the girl for dinner again after being rejected for a hundred times.
