Generally, the layout of bars in China vs. that of western bars is quite different. Bars in China tend to have many tables. Customers generally come with friends or family and sit at a table and just talk with each other. When westerners go to bars, however, they usually hope to meet new people. Western bars will have less tables and more bar space. This leaves more open space where people can stand and walk around. The point of this is to create an atmosphere where you can meet new people! Most bars will also have pool tables, foosball (table soccer) tables and/or a dart board.

　　总的说来，中国的酒吧的设置与西方的酒吧比起来可大不相同。中国的酒吧喜欢摆很多桌子，顾客一般都是与朋友或家人同来，然后只是互相交谈。可是西方人到酒吧是为了结识新朋友。西方酒吧里的桌子比较少，空间相对较多。这就给那些站着和走动的人更多的活动空间，制造结识新朋友的氛围。许多酒吧里还设有台球桌、桌式足球和镖靶。
