　　Once upon a time, a London journalist wanted to do some research about

　　1. research后接的介词一般为in, /into/, on或about,意为“关于……的研究”，“……方面的研究”。

　　Is she suitable for the job?她适合这个工作吗?

　　5.advise sb. to do sth.建议某人做某事

　　She advised us to study English hard.她建议我们努力学习英语。

　　◆注意◆advise之后无表示人的宾语时可接动名词(ing形式)，不接动词不定式。

　　I advise waiting till the proper time.我建议等到适当时间。

　　6.keep back扣下；留住不付

　　keep back在本课中表示“扣留”、“留下”解。keep back还作“阻止”、“阻挡”、“隐瞒”、“对……保守秘密”讲。

　　The boss kept their pay back.老板扣发了他们的工资。

　　7.He doesn't appear to have much money. appear作连系动词，作“似乎”、“看来”、“显得”解，后面常接动词不定式、形容词或分词。例如：

　　She appeared/seemed to be very friendly to us.她对我们显得很友好。

　　He appeared (to be)uneasy.他看起来很不自在。
