　　Jessica is worried! James still hasn't asked her to the prom, so she asks her friend Scott for advice:

　　Jessica:What should I do? The dance is a week away!

　　Scott:Maybe he's asked somebody else.

　　Jessica:No, he hasn't. Should I invite him?

　　Scott:That's a tricky question. Times have changed and it's now more acceptable for a girl to ask a guy out, but James still might not like it.

　　Jessica:You mean he'll think I'm too forward?

　　Scott:Well, guys like chasing girls. He'll lose interest if you appear to be too available.

　　Jessica:Why's dating so complicated? Maybe women were better off in the past.

　　Scott:What? You'd rather let your parents decide who you'll marry?

　　Jessica:No, I'd definitely rather fall in love than be pawned off in a business deal.

　　Scott: Well, women nowadays have a lot more freedom when it comes to love and dating. Why don't you just ask James out on a date?

　　Jessica:Hey! When did women's liberation become your thing?

　　Scott:Stop teasing! I think it's terrible that women used to have so few rights.

　　Jessica:Yeah, thank heavens people are more open-minded now.

　　Scott:Maybe that's him now.

　　Jessica:Hello! ... Sure I'll go to the dance with you, James!
