在当今商品经济时代,商品买卖活动非常普遍。在日常生活中,人们常会遇到对所购商品质量或售后服务不满意的情况,这时可以写投诉信(A Letter of Complaint )求得解决。投诉信与普通书信的格式基本相同。但要注意的是,写投诉信的目的是为了求得一个解决问题的办法而不是为了泄愤,因此写信时一定要注意态度诚恳、直截了当。 一般说来,一封投诉信应包括三个最基本的方面: 1.投诉内容。一般放在信的开头。常用的表达法有: I am writing to you about... which I received/bought ... I am going to complain about ... I am sorry to have to return with this letter... which I received/bought... 2.投诉原因。一般讲述对商品质量或售后服务不满意的地方。常用的表达法有: When we checked..., we noticed... When I took... out of the bag and examined... closely, I found... When I unpacked... and tried to use it, it did not work. 3.希望得到的结果。常用的表达法有: Please let me know what you intend to do in this matter. I am returning... under separate post and look forward to receiving a full refund of... In view of the inconvenience that this has caused, I feel you should... 我们来看看下面这篇范文: 15 March, 2003 Dear Sir, I am writing to you about a typewriter I ordered from you on 13 March, 2003. When I unpacked the machine and tried to use it, I found the backspace key didn't work. Looking it over, I also found the line space regulator has been cracked. As you know, the machine is unconditionally guaranteed for a year. Since you have no service man in this city I am obliged to return it to you. I hope you can send me a new one within a few days.
