　　比赛演讲稿

　　Support the Olympics—— Do my own part

　　The year of 2008 is getting closer to us. We Chinese are trying our best to make it a grand gathering that will carry forward the Olympics spirit, promote world peace and enhance friendship among people around the world. As a middle school student, I can do my part.

　　Though we are very busy now and under a lot of pressure, I still keep exercising every day and take part in many kinds of Sports Activities. It is good for my health and study, and also a good way to support the Olympic spirit.

　　To The Green Olympics, there must be a good environment. So what can we do as students? In our school, we’ve already had a club to recycle used batteries from students with mp3’s and other electronics, in order to protect our environment.

　　Another thing we need to work on is our English. I want to improve my English skills through this competition. And learn more about our country’s long cultural history, so I can introduce my beautiful hometown-Xi’an to foreigners in 2008.

　　支持奥运——做我能做的

　　2008年离我们越来越近了,全国人民正全力以赴，力争把2008年奥运会办成一次弘扬奥林匹克精神、促进世界和平、增进各国人民友谊的盛会，作为一名初中生，我们要做好我们力所能及的事情。

　　在目前学习紧张和中考压力的情况下，我还积极参加各项体育活动，坚持锻炼；代表学校参加区运动会，一方面可以强身健体，另一方面也是对奥运精神的积极倡导。

　　绿色奥运，就是要有一个良好的环境，我们学生能为此做些什么呢？在学校我们成立了废旧电池回收小组，主动回收同学们“随身听”的旧电池，以免污染环境。

　　另外最重要的就是要通过这次比赛，尽快提高我的英语能力，熟悉我们悠久的历史文化，到时候我要向许许多多来参加2008奥运的外国朋友介绍我可爱的家乡——古都西安。

　　让我们一起携起手来，共同努力，祝福2008年
