　　Me and the Others

　　Speaking of Olympics, everybody admires those gold medal winners who sit on the top of the pyramid of talents, those who can accomplish their dreams, but most people cannot even imagine.

　　After this greatest international sports carnival, there is another magnificent sports’ festival that after we see it on 7 o’clock news, we bury it deep inside our mind as to think it is not for us, it is for The Others. You may now recall it; it’s the Special Olympics, the one for physically and mentally disabled.

　　One world, One dream.

　　One world should be comprised of every one of us that is born by our mothers, derives from our ancestors, lives on our planet and constitutes humanity.

　　One dream should be applied to each one of us who is thoughtful and capable.

　　Starting from this speech, I’m going to make my voice heard. Ladies and gentlemen, willingly or not, think for them, care for them. We all belong to one world, we are all longing for one dream.

　　我和“其他人”

　　谈到奥运会，每个人都会仰慕那些处于才能巅峰的金牌获得者，那些能够完成梦想的人，而这些梦想是大多数人无法设想的。

　　在这一最宏大的国际体育盛事之后，还有另一场辉煌的体育赛事。对于后者，我们会在7点的新闻上看到，然后就把它深深的埋在我们记忆的深处，并且认为这场赛事不是为“我们”，而是为“其他人”设立的。也许你现在能够想起来了，这就是残疾人奥运会，为那些具有身心障碍的人所设立的体育赛事。

　　同一个世界，同一个梦想。

　　同一个世界应该是由我们中的每一个人组成的，每一个由母亲生育、由祖先所繁衍而来、居住在我们这个星球上，并且构成了人性的一部分的人。

　　同一个梦想也应该契合我们中任何一个有思想，有能力的人。

　　由这篇演说开始，我将向大家呼吁：女士们，先生们，无论你是否愿意，请为残疾人多一些考虑，多一些关心。我们都属于同一个世界，我们都期待同一个梦想。
