　　比赛演讲稿

　　DREAM AND CHALLENGE

　　A few days ago, the sandstorm hit the north of China again. The streets and the cars were covered with yellow dust.

　　My mum told me the dust came all the way from the dessert in Mongolia. Hearing that I got rather worried. The Olympic Games will be held in Beijing in 2008. Athletes from all over the world will come for this grand sporting event. What if the sandstorm hit us at that time? I couldn’t wait to go on the internet searching for relevant information. There I learn that we do face some challenges from the nature. But the government has been taking some protective measures. And the public is more aware of this issue. People are taking an active role in the green campaign.

　　I know the efforts of one person won’t make a big difference. But if everyone gives a helping hand, it will be a wonderful world. I truly believe the Mid Summer Night’s dream will come true in Beijing in 2008!

　　梦想与挑战

　　数天前，沙尘暴再次袭击了我国北方，一时间街道车辆全都被黄土覆盖。妈妈告诉我，沙尘是从蒙古高原的荒漠一路吹来的。听到这些我十分焦急！2008年北京将要举办奥运会。届时来自世界各地的选手将汇集在此，参与这场盛会。那时再有沙尘侵袭该怎么办呐？

　　我迫不及待地通过互连网查询相关的信息。我知道了我们国家的确面临着大自然的挑战。我国政府已经采取了一些积极有效的措施，这些措施已深入人心，全国人民正积极参与到创建绿色环境的运动中。

　　我想，一个人的力量是微小的，而所有的人协起手来将创造出崭新的世界。我确信，2008年，北京的仲夏之夜将绚烂美好！
