　　1. Mexico 墨西哥

　　20,271,000 travelers

　　The U.S.'s neighbor to the south remains the most-visitedcountry on American's travel list. Visitation last year increasedfrom the previous year by 4%. According to the Mexico TourismBoard, Cancún, Mexico City, and Los Cabos were the top threedestinations visited by Americans last year. The effect of swineflu reports on travel in Mexico in 2009 remains to be seen。

　　和美国比邻而居的墨西哥是美国人出国旅游的第一选择。去年前往墨西哥旅游的美国人比前年增长4%。墨西哥旅游局的数据显示，坎昆、墨西哥城、卢斯卡沃斯为去年美国人旅游首选三大目的地。不过，今年的猪流感对墨西哥旅游业的影响尚待观察。

　　2. Canada 加拿大

　　U.S. travel to Canada has declined five of the last sevenyears, and last year was no exception, with a seven percentdecrease in U.S. visitation compared with the previous year. Still,Canada remains the second-most visited destination forAmericans。

　　据统计，过去七年美国到加拿大的旅游人数已经下降了近五成，去年也不例外，来自美国的游客比前年下降了7%。尽管如此，加拿大仍然是美国人旅游的第二大目的国。

　　3. United Kingdom 英国

　　The U.K. holds steady as the top overseas destination for U.S.travelers, although it experienced a 7% decline in Americanvisitation compared with a year earlier。

　　尽管比之前年，来自美国的游客数量下降了7%，但英国仍是美国人国外旅游目的国的前三名。

　　4. France 法国

　　The cultural and geographical allure of France remains strongfor Americans. Although visitation from the U.S. declined by 4%compared with the previous year, France remains the No. 4destination for American travelers, and the second overseas choice,behind the U.K。

　　法国独特的文化和地理优势吸引了众多美国游客。尽管去年的游客数量比前年下降了4%，但法国仍是美国人选择出游的第四大目的国，也是除了英国之外的第二大海外旅游首选。

　　5. Italy 意大利

　　While U.S. visitation to Italy showed a substantial (18%)decrease, total spending by those Americans in Italy actuallyincreased by 2%。

　　尽管有数据显示美国人到意大利旅游的人数下降了18%，但美国旅游者在意大利的消费却实际增长了2%。
