　　Located at an end of Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street in downtown Shanghai, Shimao International Plaza is a 60-floor skyscraper and the tallest building in Puxi District. The building was completed in 2005 and designed by Germany's Ingenhoven, Overdiek und Partner and East China Architecture and Design Institute。

　　The plaza has two spires on its top, making its total construction height 333.3 meters. The upper floors (11th-60th) house the five-star, ultra-luxurious Le Royal Méridien Shanghai hotel with 770 rooms. The building also includes a large shopping mall, restaurants and exclusive clubs。

　　总投资30亿元的上海世茂国际广场，位于上海市南京路步行街起点(靠近人民广场)，总建筑面积近17万平方米，主体建筑高达333米，居浦西楼宇之冠，十里南京路的繁华全貌尽收眼底，其鲜明独特的建筑艺术成为南京路标志性景观。

　　上海世茂国际广场由主塔楼、裙楼及一个开放式广场组成。其中主塔楼楼高333.3米，共有60层，裙楼共有10层，开放式广场面积近2000平方米。目前主塔楼第8至60层为五星级酒店——上海世茂皇家艾美酒店，设有770间客房；裙楼则为大型购物中心——百联世茂国际广场。

　　世茂国际广场建筑本身，除作为城市新地标的浦西第一高楼鹤立鸡群外，其独特造型和庞然体量亦不多见。面向南京路的开放式广场手法独到，豁然大气，尤为值得一提的是，其地面采用与南京路步行街地面一致的花岗岩饰面体现建筑与道路的自然过渡，使建筑自然融入城市，体现出商家的恢弘气度，使城市空间大为增色。

　　The National Stadium is a stunning Beijing landmark. It has been nicknamed the "bird's nest" due to the web of twisting steel sections that form its roof. The building was designed by the Swiss architecture firm Herzog & de Meuron for use throughout the 2008 Summer Olympics and Paralympics. It covers an area of 20.4 hectares, with its tallest point at 69.21 meters。

　　The stadium has two independent structures, a red concrete seating bowl and the outer steel frame 50 feet away. The steel frame is shaped like a saddle and is an elliptical structure weighing 42,000 tons. The three-level seating can hold up to 91,000 spectators, and the building is considered to be the world's largest enclosed space。

　　国家体育场位于北京奥林匹克公园中心区南部，主体建筑为“鸟巢”，是2008年第29届奥林匹克运动会的主体育场。工程总占地面积21公顷，建筑面积258,000㎡。场内观众坐席约为91000个，其中临时坐席约11000个。

　　国家体育场这一巨型体育场设计由2001年普利茨克奖获得者赫尔佐格、德梅隆与中国建筑师李兴刚等合作完成，形态如同孕育生命的“巢”，它更像一个摇篮，寄托着人类对未来的希望。设计者们对这个国家体育场没有做任何多余的处理，只是坦率地把结构暴露在外，因而自然形成了建筑的外观。

　　2008年北京奥运会期间，在这里举行了奥运会、残奥会开闭幕式、田径比赛及足球比赛决赛。奥运会后，国家体育场成为北京市民广泛参与体育活动及享受体育娱乐的大型专业场所，并成为具有地标性的体育建筑和奥运遗产。

　　Yuanwang Mansion, also known as the "City in the Sky," is a super skyscraper located in Changsha, the capital city of Hunan Province. It will stand at 838 meters in height and have 220 floors, 10 meters higher and 50 floors more than the world's current tallest building, Burj Khalifa in Dubai. It is designed to contain residential units, hotels, schools, a hospital and offices buildings. It can be a home for 30,400 people and will have 16 panoramic and 31 super high speed elevators. The construction period will only last for seven months and it is expected to be completed in 2013.

　　远望大厦或名天空城市，是一座正在计划中的超级摩天大楼，高楼将落户中国湖南省长沙市望城区，项目净占地30亩，总投资不低于40亿元人民币，建设周期仅订为7个月，发展商为远大可建科技有限公司。

　　建成后，大楼高度将达838米共220层，比现时世界最高的哈利法塔还要高50层和10米。届时，大楼将会集住宅、酒店、学校、医院、写字楼等多种业态于一体。项目建筑面积达100万平方米，可容纳30400人。

　　该建筑项目计划于今年12月31日竣工。

　　Located on Beijing's East Third Ring Road, China's New Central Television headquarters is located at the heart of the city's Central Business District. The building was designed by the Dutch company OMA, a leading international partnership practicing architecture, urbanism, and cultural analysis。

　　The building twists the idea of a skyscraper quite literally into a 49-story-tall gravity-defying loop, which poses a truly three-dimensional experience. The site primarily consists of the main building, the TV Cultural Center and auxiliary facilities. It covers a total floor area of 550,000 square meters, with its tallest point at 230 meters。

　　中央电视台新台址位于北京市朝阳区(商务中心区)东三环中路，紧临东三环，地处CBD核心区，占地187000平方米。总建筑面积约55万平方米，最高建筑234米，工程建设总投资约50亿元人民币。建设内容主要包括：主楼(CCTV)、电视文化中心(TVCC)、警卫楼及媒体公园。

　　CCTV主楼含两栋分别为52层、高234米和44层、高194米的塔楼，并由14层、56米高，重1.8万吨的悬臂钢结构连接，总建筑面积473000平方米，号称“中国公共建筑‘第一单’”。

　　中央电视台新台址建设工程采用荷兰OMA的设计方案。专家评委认为这是一个不卑不亢的方案，既有鲜明的个性，又无排他性。作为一个优美、有力的雕塑形象，它既能代表新北京的形象，又可以用建筑的语言表达电视媒体的重要性和文化性。其结构方案新颖、可实施，会推动中国高层建筑的结构体系、结构思想的创造。专家评委认为这一设计方案不仅树立了CCTV的标志性形象，也翻开了中国建筑界新的一页。
