　　It is often said that money can't buy love。人们常说金钱买不来真爱。

　　But trying telling that to a wealthy Indian man who splashed out £14,000 on a solid gold shirt in the hope it will attract female attention。不过这位富有的印度男士显然不相信这种说法：他豪掷1.4万英镑打造了一件货真价实的黄金衬衫，希望可以吸引来异性的关注。

　　Money-lender Datta Phuge 32, from Pimpri-Chinchwad, commissioned the shirt which took a team of 15 goldsmiths two weeks to make working 16 hours a day creating and weaving the gold threads。现年32岁的达塔是一名放债人，来自印度城市宾布里-金杰沃德。他委托了一个由15名金匠组成的团队打造这件衬衫，这些匠人每天工作16小时耗时两周，用黄金制作金线缝制终于完成了这件“金缕衣”。

　　It comes complete with its own matching cuffs and a set of rings crafted from left-over gold。此外，剩余的黄金还被打造成配套的腕饰以及戒指。

　　'I know I am not the best looking man in the world but surely no woman could fail to be dazzled by this shirt?' he explained. 达塔这样解释道：“我知道自己可能长得不太好看，但我可以很自信的说，有哪个女人不会被这件衬衫闪到眼？”

　　'The gold shirt has been one of my dreams,' Mr Phuge told Indian newspaper the Pune Mirror。他对印度报纸《普那镜报》表示：“打造黄金衬衫一直是我的梦想。”

　　'It will be an embellishment to my reputation as the ‘Gold man of Pimpri"' Mr Phuge said。他还说，作为“宾布里的黄金男人”，这件纯金衬衫将会为他的名声增光添彩。

　　The gaudy shirt was assembled on a fabric base of imported white velvet, and comes with six Swarovski crystal buttons and an intricate belt, also made of gold。这件华丽的黄金衣用进口的白色天鹅绒做衬底，上面镶嵌了六颗施华洛世奇的水晶纽扣，还搭配了一条同样用黄金制成的复杂颈带。
