Eddie Redmayne is officially starring in Harry Potter Movie Fantastic Beasts。

　　Rumors swirled for months that Redmayne, 33, was being courted for the starring role in the big-screen adaptation of J.K.Rowling's 2001 book. Warner Bros. finally confirmed on Monday, June 1, that the British star has signed on for the flick。

Rowling's Wizarding World, where we know he will deliver a remarkable performance as Newt Scamander, the central character in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them."

"The laws and customs of the hidden magical society will be familiar to anyone who has read the Harry Potter books or seen the films, but Newt's story will start in New York, 70 years before Harry's gets underway."
