The project, which was initiated by the Yifeng Academy of Life Science, a medical company in Jinan, Shandong province, aims to bring the dead back to life after preserving their corpses, “waking” them up when medical technologies are fully developed, according to Chengdu Economic Daily.

Scientists from both China and U.S. have taken part in the project, collecting data and information for future research.
