　　2015年9月18日上午，2016年考研[微博]英语(一)大纲公布。对比前几年的大纲， 我们可以看出，大纲对阅读模块的考查还是和往年一样，基本没有太大变化。其中，语言技能要求的第五条是根据上下文推测生词的含义。这一要求就是我们文都教育名师一直在课堂上强调的阅读理解思路解析的“词汇题”，下面小编就根据历年真题为大家讲讲“词汇题”怎么做。

　　1.根据词根词缀猜词义

　　例如：(真题2006年Text1)In spite of “endlesstalk of difference”， American society is an amazingmachine for homogenizing people.There is “the democratizing uniformity of dress and discourse，and the casualness and absence of deference”

　　characteristic of popular culture.People are absorbed into “a culture of consumption” launched by the19th-century department stores that offered “vastarrays of goods in an elegant atmosphere.Instead of intimate shops catering toa knowledgeable elite”these were stores “anyone could enter，regardless of class orbackground.This turned shopping into a public and democratic act。” The mass media， advertising and sports areother forces for homogenization。

　　21.The word “homogenizing” (Para. 1) mostprobably means       。

　　［A］identifying    ［B］associating

　　［C］assimilating   ［D］monopolizing

　　我们不看文章，先看选项。Homogenizing这个词语大家可能不认识，没有关系，通过词根词缀分析，我们知道homo-表示“相同的”，gen-表示“基因”；而选项A中，identi-表示“识别”(我们的身份证ID card,就是识别我们身份的)；选项B中，social-表示“社会的、联系的”；选项C中，simila-表示“社会的、联系的”；选项D中，mono-表示“单独的”。只有home-(相同的)和题干中考[微博]查词汇homo-(相同的)有相似的意思，那么答案就选C。

　　2.根据词语原来含义联想猜词义

　　例如：(真题2010年Text2)Curbs onbusiness-method claims would be a dramatic about-face, because itwas the federal circuit itself that introduced such patents with is 1998decision in the so-called state Street Bank case, approving a patent on a wayof pooling mutual-fund assets. That ruling produced an explosion inbusiness-method patent filings, initially by emerging internet companies tryingto stake out exclusive rights to specific types of online transactions. Later,move established companies raced to add such patents to their files, if only asa defensive move against rivals that might beat them to the punch. In 2005, IBMnoted in a court filing that it had been issued more than 300 business-methodpatents despite the fact that it questioned the legal basis for granting them.Similarly, some Wall Street investment films armed themselves with patents forfinancial products, even as they took positions in court cases opposing thepractice。

　　28. Theword "about-face" (Line 1, Para 3) most probably means

　　“about-face”在我们军训中和一些涉及军事内容的国外电影中(比如《越狱》，《阿甘正传》)，我们经常可以听到，教练或军官发出这样的命令，这是“向后转”的意思。而在选项当中，只有选项C表达的“转向、转变、变化”的含义，我们优先考虑它，然后再看原文中“about-face”前面有个“dramatic ”(急剧的)，而“向后转”都180°了，不是“急剧的”嘛，因而答案更能确定了，选C。

　　3.根据标点符号猜词义

　　例如：(真题2004Text1)Instead, the best strategy is to use the agentas a kind of tip service to keep abreast of jobs in a particular database ; whenyou get E-mail, consider it a reminder to check the database again。

　　43. Theexpression “tip service” (Line 4, Paragraph 3) most probably means ________。

　　[A]advisory    [B] compensation    [C] interaction    [D] reminder

　　句子中的“；”表示它前后的两个句子是并列关系，所表达的内容也应该是一致的。那么，分号前面的 tip service 就和后面的 a reminder形成并列，由此第43题可以快速找出答案，选D。

　　词汇题的解题关键是该单词并不重要，重要的要学会解剖这个单词，联想它的引申意思，用上下文中的关系找出该词语的同义词、近义词、反义词、原词、概括词或其解释说明等。
