UNIT 06 Moon
Do you have any idea how big the moon is? The moon’s radius is 1,737 km. This is just one fourth of our Earth. The distance between the Earth and the moon is about 384,000 km. Gravity on the moon is much less than that on Earth. Therefore, your body weight will be just one sixth if you go to the moon. The first person on the moon was Neil Armstrong on July 21, 1969.
