　　Part III Situational Dialogues (5 minutes, 10 points)

　　【试题综述】

　　2003年全国大学生英语竞赛的初赛试卷和决赛试卷中都设计了包括10个小题的Situational Dialogues (情景对话)题型.引导学生在英语学习中,不但要提高自己的语言能力(linguistic competence),而且要培养自己的交流能力(communicative competence)。

　　10个情景对话的题材多样,生活气息浓烈.对话的语境(context)也很广泛,有商店里顾客购物时与售货员的对话,有售票处乘客与售票员的对话,还有朋友之间打电话时的对话;更多的是朋友之间在日常生活中的对话.这一题型意在引导学生把课堂所学到的英语语言知识应用到实际的交流活动中.

　　因为是日常的对话,所以口语特点明显,这10篇简短对话中出现了多个感叹词,如OK, Wow, Ah, Oh, Hi, Hello, Hey, Yeah, Well, Why等,几乎英语中常用的感叹词都出现了.对话的另一个特点是句子多为简短的简单句,口语或俚语的短语和词汇使用多,使平时接触书面语多的学生理解起来有困难.

　　61. B.这是在商店里顾客要买个人小电器与售货员的对话.售货员先介绍一种型号,它有 CD player和radio,在顾客讲了一句话后,售货员又介绍另一种型号,它具有CD, cassette player和radio的功能,由此判断,顾客是要具有cassette player功能的,所以顾客讲的话应该是B. Oh, I really want to play tapes, too.

　　62. C.这是关于在动物园中如何安置动物的一段对话.根据Jeremy对Clare所说话的反应Do you? Why? 可以推断出Clare后面的话应该是: C. but I still find it a pretty depressing place.这一话题,不但考查学生的语言运用能力,也引导学生关注生命,体现了人文精神.
