Homophones 同音词

I found the words oral and aural have the same pronunciation and so many others like pair and pear, scent and sent and so on. How can I distinguish them? Thank you very much.

Ben, Zhengzhou, China

Have you ever confused the words pear and pair, scent and sent or sea and see? These words are pronounced the same but are spelt differently and have different meanings. So how do you know which word to use?

This week Natalie and Yang Li look at these words and the ways they are used.

Listen out for these words in the programme:

Hare or hair?

Is it a hare or a hair?

whether
weather
wear
where
pull
pool
