　　这个习惯用语在口语中是比较常见的，如果光从字面上看的话,我们很可能把它理解为拖某人的后腿,但实际上它的意思是开(骗人的)玩笑、故意戏弄、或愚弄某人。譬如，你心怀不轨地对Tom的女朋友说:“Hi, Tom is seeing Jenny these days. Maybe something is going on.”“嗨，Tom这些天都在和Jenny碰面，可能他们之间有什么噢。”不料她却说，“You are pulling my leg again. Tom was out of town for business last week.”“又来耍我。上星期Tom就出差去外地了。”哈，鬼计落空！当然，这个习惯用语更多用来表示开玩笑取笑某人。
