Allen Iverson was all too familiar, Vince Carter was barely recognizable and the Toronto Raptors just keep on losing.
Iverson scored 42 points while Carter was held to 12 on 3-of-10 shooting as the Philadelphia 76ers posted a 96-84 victory that extended Toronto's losing streak to 11 games.
The last player the struggling Raptors needed to see was Iverson, who has recorded three of his six 50-point games, including playoffs, against the Raptors.
On Sunday, the NBA's reigning Most Valuable Player scored at will while Carter again appeared hampered by a quadricep injury that has negated his leaping ability.
Iverson, who made headlines Friday when he said the Sixers were still the best team in the East, then delivered 43 points in a victory over New Jersey, recorded his 40th career 40-point game, including seven this season.
He scored the first two baskets of the game as the Sixers broke out to a 9-2 lead and were never headed.
Philadelphia held its biggest lead at 67-49 with 6:37 left in the third quarter after Iverson scored six points in an 8-0 run. But Toronto closed the quarter with a 16-6 spurt to pull within 73-65.
But the Raptors never got closer than eight in the fourth quarter.
The Raptors' 11-game losing streak is two shy of the franchise record set from March 20-April 12, 1998.
