Put through
1.put somebody/something through, to connect someone to someone else on the telephone.为…接通电话;接通(电话)。
Example: Could you put me through to the manager?
例句:你能替我把电话接到经理那里吗?
2.put somebody through school/college/university, to pay for someone to study at school or college.为某人提供资金以完成学业。
Example: Andrew’s parents insisted on putting him through medical school.安德鲁的父母坚持要供他读医科学校。
3.put somebody through something, to make someone do something unpleasant or difficult.使从事;使经受。
Example: put somebody through drills (a trial)
