　　1. He is a hard nut to crack!他很难对付！

　　在这个句子里面，nut这个词的本意是坚果，但其实还有其他几个意思。

　　1)比如在以前我们学习过fan这个词，表示追求者，movie fan就是影迷。而这里的nut也有同样的意思，比如说：

　　She's such a film nut that when a new movie comes out, she would dash to see it.

　　她是个电影迷,以至于每当新电影出来的时候，他都要先睹为快。of course, here the phrase @to dash to do sth.@ means hurry to do sth.这里的to dash to do,当然就是急忙去做某事。

　　2)now let's come back to the sentence again.让我们回头来看这个句子。a hard nut to crack means a person who is hard to deal with.这里的a hard nut to crack意思是很难劈开的坚果，引申之后意思就是很难对付的一个人。比如有这样一个句子：

　　as we all know, the manager is a hard nut to crack. each time when you propose a good idea, he would put it down regardless of the voices of the protest.

　　我们的经理是一个很难对付的一个人，每次我们提出一个新的建议，他回直接拒绝，根本就不在乎那些那些反对的声音。for this kind of manager, it is hard to deal with.那么除了指难对付的人，同样也可以指代一件棘手的事情。for example,

　　I have a nut to crack with you.

　　我有件棘手的事情要同你商量。到底是什么样的问题呢？音乐之后马上回来！

　　2. Pull your finger out!马上行动吧！

　　怎么找到自己的知音？How to find a GF or a girlfriend?哦，这样的一个难题，怎么办呢？It is a piece of cake. But the bottom line is, you have to be active and put your finger out!关键的一点就是要大胆，要积极，要行动！好，这里面，就看到了一个句子：pull your finger out!马上行动！

　　In fact, while i was reading the books on success, i noticed that almost all the experts tell us that we have to pull our finger out when we have a great idea or when we have the enthusiasm.事实上，在Andy老师读过的关于成功学的书籍中，几乎都提到了就是当我们充满激情，当我们有了好的想法后，一定要马上pull your finger out!
