　　今天我们继续学习新的片语turn one's life around,意思是“使某人的处境好转”。一个人生活困苦，毫无起色，踏步不前,如果要有所好转当然得改变这种窘境啦!所以turn one's life around表达的意思就是“使某人脱离困境”。

　　现在工作了总算脱了“农皮”，所以下定决心要好好工作。上班的头一晚上，都在想要如何如何好好工作，处理同事关系，不晓得睡过了头，差点迟到，还好，在没有洗脸漱口的情况下一头冲进了办公室，哎，总算be in the nick of time.

　　片语in the nick of time意思就是Just at the critical moment; just in time.即“正当紧要关头；在关键时刻；正及时，恰好”的意思。Nick在英语里作为俚语，指监狱，一个人如果蹲在监狱里，那段时间当然就是自己改过自新的关键时刻了，我想这就是片语in the nick of time意思的由来吧!看个例句：

　　Janet almost missed her flight, but she made it in the nick of time.

　　(译文：Janet几乎错过了她的航班，但她还是在关键时刻赶上了。)

　　Our culture places a high value on being punctual. My friend always complained me when I attended his party not being in the nick of time.

　　(译文：我们的文化很重视准时。当我没有及时出席朋友的宴会时，他总是埋怨我。)
