always talking about him."

many good things about him in it, so I figure he will win."

Training Day. I didn't see it but I keep hearing how good it was."

Exercise:
Based on what you've just learned about the way that a native English
speaker would handle a question, try to express your opinions briefly and
clearly by answering the following questions.
1.Information can be transmitted(v.传播)
over long distances by encoding(v.编码) electrical signals(n.信号) on
radio or light waves. The global communications network links computers
all over the world. Information stored(v.贮存)on one computer anywhere
can be sent to another computer via(prep.以……为媒介) a telephone
line.
What is the
most important information you need to receive every day? How do you
receive it? What do you do with that information?
2.Vincent Van Gogh's talent was not
recognized in his lifetime. His intense(a.强烈的) colors and
swirling(a.飞动旋转的) brushstrokes(n.笔触) did not appeal(v.投合……所好)
to popular tastes. Desperately(adv.极度地) poor, Van Gogh tried
unsuccessfully to sell his paintings. In 1987, nearly 100 years after his
death, his Sunflowers sold for a record-almost million.
Have you
ever done or made something that wasn't appreciated until later? What was
it? |
