UNDER THE SEA

　　Not too long ago, people couldn't go scuba diving on Hainan Island, or

　　1be interested in ...“对……感兴趣”，后接名词，代词或动名词，与become interested in, show /has/ take interest in

　　的意义相同。但后两个短语属瞬间动词短语，不可与表示一段时间的状语连用。

　　2be amazed at...“对/因……大为惊讶”。be amazed后除接at外还可接to do sth.和that引导的从句。

　　1allow sb. to do sth.允许某人做某事

　　His father allows him to watch TV for half an hour every day.

　　2decide to do sth.“决定做某事”。相当于make up one's mind to do sth.

　　语法天地

　　一般过去时和现在完成时的比较

　　1共同点：句中所表示的动作都发生在过去。

　　2不同点：

　　(1)概念不同。一般过去时只表示动作发生在过去，与现在无关，属“过去”时态范畴；现在完成时虽然表示动作发生在过去，但强调对现在的影响和结果，属“现在”时态范畴。

　　(2)时间状语不同。一般过去时常用的时间状语有yesterday, three days ago, last month, four years later等。现在完成时却不能与这些状语连用，而是用just,

　　already, since..., for...等。

　　(3)构成不同。一般过去时的肯定句不用助动词，在变成疑问句和否定句时用助动词did或didn't，实义动词变成动词原形；而现在完成时不论何种句式都要用助动词

　　have/has，实义动词用过去分词。
