　　1set one's mind to do sth“下决心去做某事”，此短语也可以用make up one's mind to do sth来表示。

　　Im sorry to put off writing to you till today.

　　很抱歉我拖到今天才给你写信。

　　1... is(much)better than...要比……好(得多)

　　Reading a book is much better than watching a bad TV programme.

　　看书要比看一个差的节目强得多。

　　注意此句型中，than后的动词应用动名词，不能用不定式。

　　2It is better late than never.迟做总比不做好
