　　like可以作介词和连词，其主要意思是"像……"；它还可以作动词，意思是"喜欢"。现将其用法简述如下：

　　一、 like用作介词时，表示"像……"，后面可以接名词、代词和V-ing形式。例如：

　　It looks like rain. 看起来要下雨了。

　　I have never seen him like this before. 我以前从未见过他这样。

　　Sitting on the swing is like flying in the sky. 坐在秋千上就好像在天空中飞翔。

　　二、 like也可用作连词，和as的意思及用法相同。例如：

　　That night he came back late again like he had often done. 那天晚上，像过去常做的一样，他又回来晚了。

　　It sounds to me like they don't know what is going on either. 我听他们的口气似乎他们也不知道所发生的事情。

　　三、 like作动词，意思是"喜欢"，后可接名词、动词不定式、V-ing形式等。例如：

　　-I don't like chicken or fish. 我不喜欢吃鸡，也不喜欢吃鱼。

　　-I don't like chicken, but I like fish very much. 我不喜欢吃鸡，但我很喜欢吃鱼。

　　All of us like playing football. 我们都喜欢踢足球。

　　I don't like people to tell lies. 我不喜欢人说谎。

　　四、注意区别What's...like?/What do/does...look like?/What do/does...like?

　　What's...like? 可以指人的外表、性格、品质，也可指事物的性质和特征怎么样。例如：

　　-I have never seen your brother. What is he like? 我从未见过你弟弟。他人怎样？

　　-He is a tall, handsome young man full of humor and sympathy. 他是个个子高大、英俊。富有幽默感和同情心的青年。

　　-What's the weather like in London? 伦敦的天气怎么样？

　　-It is foggy, rainy and seldom sunny. 雾蒙蒙、多雨，很少有晴天。

　　What do/does...look like?指外表怎么样，句中的like是介词。例如：

　　-What does your teacher look like? 你们的老师长得怎样？

　　-He is tall and thin. 他又高又瘦。

　　What do/does...like?是"……喜欢什么？" 的意思，句中的like是动词。例如：

　　-What does your brother like? 你弟弟喜欢什么？

　　-He likes driving fast cars and dancing. 他喜欢开快车和跳舞。
