1. choose; pick

　　这两个词都有“选择”的意思，choose为日常用语，指从众多的对象中挑选，这种挑选常常取决于个人的意志和判断；而pick较口语化，多用于按个人喜好挑选有形的东西，有时也有“任意挑选”的意思。试比较：

　　　Choose me a good one, please. 请给我挑个好的。

　　　You can pick which one you like. 你喜欢哪个就选择哪个。

　　　2. interested; interesting

　　　这是一组由interest(使……感兴趣)变化出来的两个形容词。interested意为“对……感兴趣的”，着重于被动意味，其主语一般为人，且多用在系动词be，get，become等后面作表语，后接介词in，构成be / get / become interested in结构；interesting意为事物本身“令人感兴趣的”，着重于主动意味，可作表语或定语，通常修饰物。试比较：

　　　I'm interested in the story. 我对这个故事感兴趣。

　　　I am interested in cartoon, because it is so interesting! 我对卡通很感兴趣，因为它非常有趣！

　　　3. price; cost

　　　这两个词都“价钱；费用”的意思。price一般指商品出售的“价格；价钱”；cost表示货物、服务的“价钱或费用”。试比较：

　　　What's the price of the watch? 这只手表多少钱？

　　　The cost of the house is very high. 这房子的价钱很高。

　　　He bought the clothes at a cost of $200. 他买这件衣服花了200美元。
