A Diary From Tan Meimei—Teacher's Day

　　Date: September 10th, Friday

　　Weather: Cloudy

　　Today is September 10th, Friday. It's the twentieth Teachers' Day for all the Chinese teachers. On Thursday, the day before Teachers' Day, our head teacher—Mrs. Feng said to us,“Boys and girls, Teachers' Day is coming. This Friday, we are going to have a party together”.

　　On Friday morning, all the teachers came to our class. Some boys gave their presents to the teachers. Then the girls sang the songs and danced for the teachers. Song Wangling and Li Yi acted a funny short play. Some teachers also showed their performance. Our Chinese teacher told us a story about Franklin. The history teacher gave us some riddles and puzzles to guess. Our English teacher's performance was the most wonderful. He recited the 26 English letters from the end to the beginning in less than 15 seconds.

　　All the teachers and the students had a nice time this morning.

　　Mid-Autumn Festival

　　Mid-Autumn Festival is drawing near. It is on September 28th. Everyone in our family likes Mid-Autumn Festival because that is the harvest time. We pick a lot of apples from our apple trees. The corns in the fields are larger than they were last year. A good harvest is in sight.

　　Usually my father buys different kinds of moon cakes for the family before Mid-Autumn Festival. I like moon cakes with meat and nuts in them. My favourite moon cakes are made in Guangdong. My mother cooks dinner on the afternoon of Mid-Autumn Festival. She often prepares much delicious food for us. After a big dinner, I like to go out for a walk with my parents and watch the round and bright moon. My grandma told me that Chang'e and her rabbit were on the moon. She has also told me many interesting stories about the moon before.

　　How happy I am on Mid-Autumn Festival!
