  话题:

1 What youth means to you?

2 Why do you think people cherish youth?

3 What`s your suggestions to those who are in the stage of youth?

4 Anything related to youth you would like to share with us。

  范例1:

  Youth

Youth is not a time of life; it is a state of mind; it is not a matter of rosy cheeks, red lips and supple knees; it is a matter of the will, quality of the imagination, a vigor of the emotions; it is the freshness of the deep springs of life。

  Youth means a temperamental predominance

of courage over timidity, of the appetite for adventure over the love of ease. This often exists in a man of 60 more than a boy of 20. Nobody grows old merely by a number of years. We grow old by deserting our ideals。

Years may wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul. Worry, fear, self distrust blows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust。

Whether 60 or 16, there is in every human being’s heart the lure of wonder, the unfailing child-like appetite of what’s next and the joy of the game of living. In the center of your heart and my heart there is a wireless station, so long as it receives message of beauty, hope, cheer, courage and power from men and from the God, so long are you young。

When the aerials are down, and your spirit is covered with snows of cynicism and the ice of pessimism, then you are grow old, even at 20, but as long as your aerials are up, to catch waves of optimism, here is hope you may die young at 80.

  范例2:

Youth is precious to us because our life is a one-way street that nobody could roll back. People are so worried about the ageing process that they spend money and time on anti-ageing. None of us, however, can hold youth forever. In my opinion, facing the ageing gracefully is an important attitude toward life。

Rembrandt, one of my favourite artists, interpreted the ageing in a completely different way, which makes life more noble and full of meanings. And his most remarkable experiment of ageing actually was a lifelong project: he watched himself grow old. His unrivalled and sustained self-portraiture shows how he himself changed with time. As he ages, he sees himself more intimately。

His experiment told me: instead of suffering from ageing, why shouldn't we accept it from the bottom of our heart?
