　　THIS Admissions Policies

　　1.   Students admitted to Tsinghua International School must be in possession of a valid foreign passport or a residence card from Taiwan, Macau or Hong Kong。

　　2.    Students admitted to THIS must also have a valid China visa with a minimum of 2 months remaining。

　　3.    Students who are admitted to THIS must live with a parent or legally appointed guardian in Beijing. 

　　4.    Students seeking application to Grade 1 must be six years old on or before September 1 of their first grade year。

　　5.    All students seeking admissions to THIS must take an English-proficiency entrance test。

　　6.    Students seeking admissions to grades 9, 10 and 11 will take a Math proficiency entrance test. 

　　7.    If transferring in to THIS, students will be placed in grades according to their most recently completed grade, with consideration given to their calendar age。

　　8.    In rare cases, students seeking admissions to grades 9, 10 and 11 who are not physically located in China at the time of the interview, may be interviewed by way of Skype. In these cases, students must submit a writing sample which must be administered in a proctored environment。

　　9.    All students applying for admissions to grades 2 – 11 must submit recommendations and report cards (elementary and middle school) or transcripts (grades 10 – 11). Students transferring from Chinese local middle schools will submit their transcripts。

　　10. Students entering grade 10 or 11 with a cumulative Grade Point Average below 2.5 cannot be considered for admission。
