Hither and thither

　　Hither,是古英语，就是我们现在的here.

　　Thither,也同样是古英语，意思是there.

　　这样一来我们就很好理解了。Here and there，这里，那里；就是到处，各处，四面八方这样一个意思。

　　我们来看个例子：

　　被风刮得到处都是的
