desire greatly ,plan for with much interest十分渴望，很感兴趣地计划着

4. Beat one to it抢先一步
arrive or get ahead of another person到达，在某人之前
We saw the ad in the paper for the apartment and went to look at it，but someone else had already beaten us to it.
