Japan's National Police Agency (NPA) chief Setsuo Tanaka will fly to South Korea next week to discuss security measures for the coming World Cup soccer finals.
Tanaka will visit South Korea's head office managing safety measures, the National Intelligence Service and the National Police Agency, according NPA officials.
He will discuss with South Korean officials over the measures against terrorism and hooligans ahead of the soccer tournament, the officials said.
During his two-day visit, the NPA chief also plans to visit some stadiumsswheressoccer matches will be held, according to these officials.
The World Cup finals, co-hosted by Japan and South Korea, are to be held from May 31 through June 30.
