At the office, Katherine popssintosJosh's cubicle.
K:The whole office is buzzing! Have you heard the news?
J:Yeah! Who had any idea that Jessica and the VP had been dating!
K:And now a wedding!
J:I'm surprised there isn't a no-dating policy here.
K:It'd be unfair, considering the two senior partners are married to each other.
J:But what if Jessica and Don's romance had soured?
K:The door would've been wide-open for a lawsuit. Remember that brouhaha last year at Sandersons?
J:Yes! One of the staff sued the company when he didn't get a promotion -- because the person in charge of that decision was his ex!
K:That created so much tension -- which is why Sandersons implemented "love contracts". They didn't want to prevent co-workers from dating, but they needed legal protection.
J:So now employees who are dating each other have to sign something saying that they enteredsintosthe relationship voluntarily? What ever happened to discretion?
K:Well, at least, working here, Don and Jessica were allowed to be discreet.
J:And they certainly avoided gossip -- until now, anyway. I can't believe they were able to keep their romance a secret!
K:I'm just glad that 's this time -- we found out because there was a happy ending.
