Credit cards are very commonly used in western countries. Most westerners have at least one credit card (usually more). Visa, MasterCard and American Express are the most commonly used credit cards. Credit cards can be used at most stores and restaurants. While credit cards are very convenient to use, many people end up buying more than what they can pay for and spend years paying off their credit card debts.
