　　一位经理到邻近的某市出差，原说好要搭乘傍晚的班机回家。

　　第【1】串：be out on business出差

　　He had been out on business for more than 2 months, which made the boss confused.

　　可是他没赶上那班飞机，又来不及通知太太不要去机场迎接。

　　第【2】串：inform sb. of sth.通知某人某事

　　Citizens were informed of the fact that a new kind of disease was spreading everywhere.

　　他的太太赶到机场，发现丈夫不在预定的班机上，感到十分焦急，担心丈夫有了女友。

　　第【3】串：have an affair with sb.有外遇

　　He is supposed to have an affair with a girl who is only 18 years old.

　　于是立即给她丈夫在邻市的五个朋友和同事打电报，询问她丈夫是否在他们的府上过夜。然后，她开车回家。

　　第【4】串：to telegraph打电报给...

　　The mother telegraphed to his son and asked him to come back as soon as possible.

　　丈夫乘下一班飞机，于数小时后回来，发现妻子站在门口，手里拿着刚送到的电报。五份电报上都只有一个字：“是。”

　　第【5】串：no more than只有

　　The telegraph has no more than one word, which says "Yes".
