　　A journalist(J) is interviewing the director(D) of a play.

　　一位记者正在采访一位戏剧导演。

　　J：What do you do in the theatre?

　　记者：你在戏剧方面从事什么工作?

　　D：I'm a director. I direct plays.

　　导演：我是导演。我导演戏剧。

　　J：Some of us do not know much about the theatre. Could you explain

　　D：Yes. At the very beginning I choose a play and the actors.

　　1.theatre作“戏剧”或“戏剧艺术”解，是不可数名词，通常跟定冠词the连用。

　　I'm reading a book about the Greek theatre.我正在读一本有关希腊戏剧的书。
