同学们，一看见这个题目也许就感到trouble来临了吧，trouble的确是一个令人头痛的词，但却是一个常用的词，比如在Lesson 38中就有这样一个句子：I just didn't wish to put you to the trouble of changing a large note.这个句子中的trouble比本文题目的trouble少多了。为了全面解决trouble一词的trouble，笔者现将其用法剖析如下：

　　一、基本用法

　　(一)作名词

　　1.当"疾病；故障"讲时，是不可数名词。

　　What's the trouble with you?你哪儿不舒服？

　　My car has got engine trouble.我的汽车发动机出了毛病。

　　2.当"忧虑；苦恼；困难；痛苦"讲时，可以是可数名词，也可以是不可数名词。

　　We're having trouble with our new car.我们的新汽车很让人伤脑筋。

　　If we're late,there'll be trouble.我们要是迟到了，就倒霉了。

　　3.当"不便；麻烦；烦扰"讲时，是不可数名词。

　　I don't want to be any trouble to you.我不想打扰你。

　　Repairing this computer is more trou- ble than it's worth.这电脑修起来挺麻烦，不值得修。

　　4.当"纠纷；纷争；不宁；动乱"讲时，可以是可数名词，也可以是不可数名词。

　　There are many recent troubles in Iraq.伊拉克近来动乱不止。

　　The company has been hit by a lot of labour trouble.这家公司因一系列的劳资纠纷而严重受挫。

　　(二)作动词

　　1.当"使(某人)忧虑；苦恼；痛苦"讲。

　　What troubles me is that my back's been troubling me.使我感到苦恼的是我一直背疼难受。

　　2.当"麻烦；打扰"讲。

　　I'm sorry to trouble you，but can you tell me how to get to the airport?对不起，打扰您了，您能告诉我到机场怎么走吗？

　　May I trouble you to give me a hand?劳驾你帮我一下好吗？

　　综上所述，可见本文题目应译为：麻烦没有来找你，别去自找麻烦。

　　二、常用习惯搭配

　　1.ask for trouble自讨苦吃，自找麻烦。类似的惯用法还有borrow trouble, look for trouble等。

　　Don't borrow trouble by worrying about next year.It's too far away.不要为明年的事烦恼，那毕竟太遥远了。

　　2.be a trouble to sb.对某人是个麻烦

　　Teaching is a trouble to him.教书对他是件麻烦事。

　　3.be a trouble to do sth.干某事是件麻烦事

　　Some dishes are very enjoyable to eat but a great trouble to prepare.有些菜吃起来可口，但做起来很麻烦。

　　4.go to the trouble of doing sth.不怕麻烦(干)某事；特意(干)某事

　　Yang Wei told Mr Li not to go to the trouble of driving him home.杨维告诉李先生不必麻烦开车送他回家。

　　5.have trouble with有病痛；同……闹纠纷

　　He has much trouble with his friends.他与朋友闹纠纷。

　　6.have trouble to do sth.做某事很费力(事，心)，与have trouble doing sth.同义。

　　I have much trouble to keep out of debt.我费尽心机以免于负债。

　　7.make trouble闹事；捣乱

　　If you don't listen to him，he will make trouble.如果你不听他的，他会捣乱的。

　　8.make trouble for sb.给某人带来麻烦

　　The boy makes trouble for his teacher.这个男孩常给老师找麻烦。

　　9.get into trouble陷入困境；get out of trouble摆脱困境

　　I got into trouble through helping him.我因帮助他而陷入困境。

　　10.give sb.trouble，give trouble to sb.和put sb.to trouble麻烦某人；给某人添麻烦

　　I've put you to much trouble，I'm afraid.恐怕我给你惹了不少麻烦。

　　11.in trouble处于困境，与get into trouble意思相近。

　　He is a kind friend to everyone in trouble.他是每一个患难人的好朋友。

　　12.no trouble不麻烦；不费事

　　It's no trouble at all to do a good deed.做一件好事是毫不费事的。
