　　地点(place)是记叙的六大要素之一。询问谈话及事件发生的地点，或者谈话者来自何处、要到什么地方去，是听力测试题的常见题型。这类题目可分为开门见山型和曲径通幽型两种。下面分别将这两类题型的命题特点和解题技巧介绍如下：

　　I. 开门见山型

　　命题特点：要回答的地点在对话或短文中直接提到，并且地点名词前多有介词。

　　解题技巧：1. 注意对话、短文中的介词，如介词at ,in 后面的名词往往是谈话的地点。介词to 或from后面的地点大多是谈话者要去的地点或来自于什么地方。而介词beside, next to, near, in front of, in the middle of 等也可用来确定不同的位置。

　　经典例题1：根据对话内容及问题，选择正确答案。

　　A. Australia. B. Canada.

　　C. America.

　　Woman: I'm from America.

　　Question: Where's Lucy from?

　　Man: No. It's made in Shanghai.

　　特别提示：注意排除干扰选项in Beijing.

　　II. 曲径通幽型

　　命题特点：对话、短文一般不直接提到地点，往往要求考生根据对话、文章内容进行推理、判断。

　　解题技巧：要善于抓住与特定场合有关的词、词组和表达方式，推断对话可能发生的地点。如下面地点名词及对应的习惯表达方式：

　　School: student, teacher, classroom, have lessons ...

　　I'm sorry, I am late for class./Who is on duty today?...

　　Hospital: doctor, nurse, patient, have a cold, cough...

　　What's wrong with you? / What's your trouble? / I feel terrible. / Take this medicine three times a day. / Have a good rest and drink a lot of water. / It is nothing serious.

　　Shop:cheap, expensive, pay ...

　　Can I help you? / What can I do for you?/What size do you want? / What about this green one? / That's fine. I will take it.

　　Restaurant: order, menu, bill, pay for, waiter, waitress, food, drink, hot dog, salad...

　　May I take your order? / What would you like? / I am full. / Just a little, please. / Help yourself to some fish.

　　Library: borrow, keep, book, return...

　　Do you have any books on football? / How long may I keep it? / You must return it in a month.

　　经典例题4：根据对话内容及问题，选择正确答案。

　　A. In a bookshop. B. At a library.

　　C. At the teacher's office.

　　Woman: Do you have any books on radio, sir?

　　Man: They're over there on that shelf.

　　Woman: Are they expensive?

　　Man: No, they're not expensive at all.

　　Question: Where are they talking?

　　特别提示：由Are they expensive?可知答案为 A，而非B。

　　特别提示：Sydney是Australia著名的城市。

　　在听地点类听力题目时，有时需借助地理知识，熟悉世界主要国家，特别是英、美、澳大利亚及加拿大等国的主要城市。
