NEPCS决赛试题的命题原则、体例以及题型和分值分布等均同初赛一致,只是试题难度略有提升。

　　听力部分

　　1-5题为听辨单词,难度并不大。只要我们在平时的学习中注意了单词的写法及各种形式,并且切实掌握了用法,这类题就不会成为问题。

　　6-10题为句子理解,多为同义句,因此同学们平时应重视同义句练习,注意同一意思的多种表达方式。现将听力原文和答案提供如下,以便同学们进行比较:

　　6. I would like to have seen the country's beautiful scenery when I visited the Philippines last month but there was no time for that. (C. I visited the Philippines last month, but I had no time to see the country's beautiful scenery.)

　　7. You can drink spirits in Britain, but you cannot buy spirits from a shop until you are eighteen. (C. In the UK, people over eighteen can buy spirits.)

　　8. Harry was reading an English story in the library when the lights went out. (A. Harry was reading in the library in the evening.)

　　9. Tom cannot go to the cinema with Betty as his sister is leaving for New York by plane and he has to see her off at the airport. (B. Tom is going to see his sister off at the airport because she is leaving for New York by plane.)

　　10. Jane had to apologize to her teacher for being 15 minutes late, as it was a quarter past eight when she got to school. (A. Jane was late for school by a quarter of an hour, since school begins at eight.)

　　11-15题应试时需特别注意的是:在听懂对话的同时,应听清问题,以免答非所问。

　　11. 根据听力原文中的"That (Typing) can be learned while you are working. We need a person who knows how to produce a letter without mistakes."可知所需的人必须擅长于Writing (A)。

　　12. 根据对话中的doctor和medicine等信息可知是At the doctor's (D)。

　　13. 根据"If you are thrown out of the boat, it's not easy for you to get back in because it runs much faster than normal."可知答案为C。

　　14. 本题为识图题,考生听前和听时应读懂四幅图,再结合问题分析比较它们的异同:A为厨房内,B为户外,C为坐在一房间内的沙发上,D为坐在桌旁准备就餐。根据"I came into the restaurant and sat down over there, then I ordered lunch."可知答案为D。

　　15. 根据"M: Do your husband and your children help you clean? W: They'd like to, but they have other things to do."可知答案为B。

　　16-20题为一段长对话,为便于同学们理解,现将听力原文提供如下:

　　W: Hi, Dave. Tomorrow is Sunday. What are you going to do?

　　M: My family are going on an outing. I wonder what the weather will be like tomorrow.

　　W: I heard the weather forecast over the radio. It will begin fine and dry, though with clouds increasing during the afternoon, which may bring a small risk of a light shower after the sun goes down.

　　21-30题为对话理解,共有两篇短文,每篇设5个问题。现举B篇作一解析:

　　Tonight we're taking a look at one of the city's leading restaurants-the Blue Restaurant. Our idea was to find places not only where the food is good and the service all you'd expect it to be, but also where you get a good view at the same time.

　　Well, this restaurant is not a new place, but if you've been there before, you might like to give it another try because there have been a number of improvements here in the last few months. We'd advise you to sit by the windows and enjoy the excellent views of the River Thames, whatever the weather. If it gets too hot, the glass slides back and you're in the open air, but if it gets cold or starts to rain, the windows will close by themselves.
