with 是初中教材中使用频率较高的单词之一，是历年全国各省市中考试题中的必考点之一，2003年仅四川省中考题中对with的考查就有3道题之多。with作为介词，它最基本的用法有三：

　　1.表示"带有"、"具有"；

　　2.表示"手段"或"方法"，意为"以……"、"用……"；

　　3.表示"伴随"，意为"与……一道"、"跟……一起"。
