中学英语教学大纲指出：培养学生“在口头上和书面上初步运用英语进行交际的能力，侧重培养阅读能力。”综观近几年高考试题，语境因素大大加强，所占分值逐年提高，可见提高阅读能力已成为高中英语教学中的“重中之重”。

　　阅读是一种思维过程，思维的深刻性和流畅性是阅读的两个基本特征。所以，语感显得尤为重要。学生语感的形成主要是对语篇的接受、感悟和理解。为使所学内容“形神结合”，促进基础知识和阅读能力之间的正迁移，笔者一改以往要求学生“死记硬背”的模式，采用课文“完形填空”形式，使学生积极思维、大胆想象，从而获得创造性的收获，取得了良好的教学效果。因为，学习兴趣是学习动机的内在起点，激发求知欲望是培养探索精神的直接动力。

　　下面谈谈课文“完形填空”的设计思路和特点。

　　一、强化词汇记忆。在思考和运用中辨别并记住重要词汇，尤其是易混词和易错词。

　　1. Everyone obeys the rules, anyone who _______ the rules is punished.(SB 1A U5L18)

　　2. I was the only person in my office who was invited, I've written to _______ the invitation.(SB 1B U18L69)
