模块二第六单元课文重、难点解析

　　1. Can you give me a hand with this?(P68) 你能帮我(计划这次旅行)吗？

　　give / lend sb. a hand(with) 帮一下忙；帮助某人(做)

　　Could you give / lend me a hand with this desk? 你能帮我搬这张桌子吗？

　　Give / Lend me a hand with this ladder. 帮我扶一下梯子。

　　2. That way you can see how close you are to being ready. (P68) 那样做你会明白一切很快就绪。

　　1)that / this / one's own way = in that / this / one's own way以那样/这样/某人自己的方式[方法]

　　You have to do it my way. 你得照我的方法做。

　　You can open the bottle this way. 你可以这样开瓶。

　　He wants to do everything his own way. 他任何事情都要按自己的方法做。

　　2)close to 接近，几乎

　　She is close to tears. 她几乎要掉眼泪。

　　Close to a hundred experiments have been made.已经进行了近百次试验。

　　3. If you had made a list, that wouldn't have happened. (P69) 如果你列出清单的话，那种情况就不会发生了。

　　本句是虚拟语气。表示与过去事实相反，虚拟条件从句中谓语动词用“had +过去分词”形式，主句中谓语动词用“would /should /could + have +过去分词”形式。例如：

　　If I had known your telephone number yesterday, I would /should /could have telephoned you.

　　如果我昨天知道你的电话号码，我就给你打电话了。

　　If you had come earlier five minutes, you would have met the famous scientist.

　　如果你早到五分钟，你就见到那位著名的科学家了。

　　4. We'll overnight at a hotel in Iquitos and depart for Lima on Saturday morning March 11 and finish up with a half-day tour of Lima before boarding the flight home late Saturday night. (P77)

　　2)finish up with... 以……结束；最后有……

　　I will finish up with a song of Schubert. 我将以一首舒伯特的歌结束。

　　We had a celebration, with a new film to finish up with. 我们开了个庆祝会，最后放映了一部新电影。

　　finish with完成，结束； 与……断绝关系

　　When you have finished with the book, put it back on the shelf. 看完这本书，把它放回到架子上。

　　I have decided to finish with him for good. 我已经决定与他永远断绝关系。
