人教社2003年版高一课本Unit 11中的LANGUAGE STUDY部分 Grammar主动变被动的练习中(P.75)有这一样一句：

　　He knew that they would invite him to perform in the New Year's Concert.

　　教师用书中的答案如下：

　　He knew that he would be invited to perform in the New Year's Concert.

　　对此我们认为有待商榷。

　　1. 根据主动语态变被动语态的基本规则，即主动句的宾语变为被动句的主语；谓语动词变为be + V-ed形式。句中that-clause是knew的宾语则应变为：That they would invite him to perform in the New Year's Concert was known to him.

　　为避免头重脚轻，that-clause常用it作形式主语即： It was known to him that they would invite him to perform in the New Year's Concert.

　　2. 通常主动语态与被动语态之间可相互转换。有时这种转换不是唯一的，还可变成另一种被动语态，两种被动语态的意义一致。如：

　　People think / consider / know that he is...

　　It is thought / considered / known that he is...

　　He is thought / considered / known to be...

　　当句中意思涉及到以前的行为时则使用不定式的完成式：

　　People know that he was...

　　It is known that he was...

　　He is known to have been...

　　能够进行这类转换的主要是从句作think, consider, know, hope, believe, say, report, understand等动词的宾语的句子。

　　综上所述，课本句子应有下面几种转换：

　　1. He knew that he would be invited to perform in the New Year's Concert. (最好注明转换从句的语态)

　　2. That they would invite him to perform in the New Year's Concert was known to him. (不常用)

　　3. It was known to him that they would invite him to perform in the New Year's Concert.

　　4. They were known to invite him to perform in the New Year's Concert.
