中国驻肯尼亚大使馆证实，一名中国游客21日晚间在肯尼亚著名旅游景点纳瓦沙遭河马袭击身亡。

　　事发之前，这名来自上海的女游客正参加组团游，在距肯尼亚首都内罗毕西北90公里处的奈瓦沙湖观光。21日晚间，她在酒店吃完晚饭回房间的路上遭到河马袭击，这名游客随后被送往附近医院救治，但因流血过多不幸死亡。

　　目前中国驻肯使馆已联系遇难者在国内的家人前往肯尼亚处理善后事宜。

　　据中国驻肯使馆介绍，这是近两年来在肯尼亚境内发生的第一起河马伤害中国游客事件。随着肯尼亚旅游旺季来临，使馆提醒赴肯中国游客在观赏野生动物时，务必注意人身安全。

　　A Chinese tourist was attacked and killed by hippo in Lake Naivasha on Sunday night, the Chinese embassy in Kenya confirmed to Xinhua on Monday.

　　According to the Chinese embassy, the female tourist was walking back to her room after dinner when she was attacked by a hippo in the hotel at around 8 p.m. local time. The victim was then rushed to a nearby hospital, but bled to death。

　　This is the first incident about hippo hurting Chinese tourist in Kenya。
